WRP Staff Members
Mary Russ has been the WRP Executive Director since 2006, working with the Board of Directors to coordinate organizational administration, fundraising, and community relations. Mary started volunteering with the WRP while getting her Master of Environmental Law and Policy degree from Vermont Law School in 2001. She enjoys exploring the watershed by foot, bike, canoe, and skis with her family.
Greg Russ joined the WRP staff in 2009 as our Monitoring Coordinator and is now our Watershed Restoration Manager. Greg develops on-the-ground projects and oversees their implementation in close cooperation with the WRP’s technical partners. When he is not working, fly fishing, or skiing, he’s spending time in the woods or on the river with his family.
Dan ‘Rudi’ Ruddell is the WRP Watershed Scientist and has been a staff member since 2016. Rudi manages water quality and project monitoring programs in summer and school-based watershed education programs in fall, winter, and spring. Rudi wears many other hats in the watershed and beyond, including lister and floodplain administrator for Tunbridge, environmental consultant, soccer referee, and musician to name a few.
Christian Pelletier is the WRP Program Coordinator, facilitating community volunteers’ hands-on participation in the water quality monitoring program and White River Water Trail Stewardship Network, and helping coordinate data collection, education, and restoration program activities. He joined the WRP as a Watershed Assessment Intern in summer 2018, then served as an ECO AmeriCorps member from fall 2018 through summer 2019. Christian brings a diversity of experience to his work at the WRP – from overseeing the assembly of jet engines to thru-hiking the AT to counseling summer campers at the Montshire Museum.
