We invite current WRP Members to cast their vote for 3 open Board seats by Sunday, September 7 at noon.
Step 1: Read the 2025 Board candidate bios below
Lisa Gwiazda – My love affair with the White River began in the 90s, spending time with my family at Paine’s Beach and annual camping trips in Gaysville. I changed careers from nursing to property management upon moving to Vermont permanently. We now live on the White River and enjoy all it has to offer. I love being outdoors and appreciate and understand the importance of relationship and reciprocity with the natural world. I enjoy serving on the WRP Board. My admiration and respect for WRP has increased, as well as understanding the importance and necessity of organizations like WRP.
Steve Mortillo – I reside in Tunbridge, alongside my family, close to the First Branch of the White River. After serving in the Army in Iraq, I pursued my passion for the environment and graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Environmental Science focusing on water resources. Over the past six years, I have served as the Natural Resources Program Lead for the national parks in Vermont and New Hampshire where I work to conserve the forests and waterways of these vital ecosystems. A lifelong angler, I enjoy exploring Vermont’s waterways and am committed to preserving these areas for future generations.
Dave Phillips – I live in Sharon on Quation Brook, which is in the White River watershed. I have been on the WRP Board since 2009 and am currently serving as the Board Treasurer. I am passionate about our environment and the Partnership gives me the opportunity to help give a little back to both the environment and our community. I look forward to serving for another term.
